How Valet Trash Works
The doorstep collection process, start to finish — for residents and property managers.
Valet trash works like a nightly doorstep pickup: residents set bagged trash and recycling in a provided bin outside their door during a set evening window — usually 6:00–8:00 p.m., Sunday through Thursday — and uniformed porters walk the property on a fixed route, collect every bag, and haul it straight to the community compactor. Residents never carry trash across the property, and dumpster areas stay cleaner.
The process, step by step
What residents need to do
Participation is simple: bag the trash, set the bin out at the start of the window, and bring the empty bin back inside afterward so breezeways stay clear. Residents use standard kitchen trash bags; the labeled bin is provided. Only bagged trash placed in the bin during the window is collected, which keeps the program tidy and predictable.
The schedule, recycling & holidays
Most communities run five nights a week with an evening window, though frequency, start time and nights are set per property. Recycling is collected on designated nights in a separate stream. Holiday coverage is planned in advance with the property — either maintaining service or communicating an adjusted schedule to residents so there are no surprises.
What's collected — and what isn't
Doorstep valet covers normal household trash and recycling that fits in the bin. Oversized items, furniture, hazardous materials and loose bulk aren't part of standard service — but as a full-service North Texas contractor, T.A.P. can arrange separate bulk pickups, junk removal and move-out cleaning so a single vendor keeps the whole community covered.
